I have a 1995 mariner 40hp tiller electric start, power tilt/trim that has been running just fine until recently. It seems that now I will be slowly idling along and the motor will stall out. When I attempt to restart it the key switch is dead, it beeps but doesn't turn over. If I pull the hood and use the emergency pull it starts. I have noticed that if it doesn't start manually it will using the electric start. Does anyone have an idea why this is happening?
