95 Sugar Sand 120HP Sometimes takes forever to plane

Hey Guys. I am new to this forum and I am looking for a little help please.

I recently purchased a 95 suagr sand and i am having an issue with boat going into plane. first time you put in water works great then you turn the boat off and back on and it wil take forever to get going i have to mess around wit the throttle then it goes when it wants too. any one have any ideas? also the boat goes about 35MPh full throttle is that about right? Thanks to anyone that can help

Speed sounds about right...give or take a few.

Could be a number of things, but first I would pull the fuel line at the carbs and place in a bucket/jar. Crank (don't start unless you have a flush kit installed) and check the fuel flow. Should be a pretty steady stream. If it pulses, you'll need to replace the diaphram in the fuel pump.
