95 Wellcraft 260S Eclipse, intake louvers

[Riddlere]

Trying to locate replacement intake louvers for side of the boat. See attached photo. Tried Tap Plastics, they can not do. any ideas other than make myself? if possible.

I know it's a long shot being a 95 and all but have you tied Wellcraft's Part Finder by putting in your HIN#?

Thanks Tazrig. I have searched for hrs. on Wellcraft and called them with no luck.

Try a good fiberglass shop,some vents are obsolete,and our glass guy just fixes em up if the owner wants the originall look.I know they are plastic but he gets the glass to stick and they look new,and are a bit stronger die to the grassing.

If you DO end up making your own, do a google search for vacuum forming... it's actually really easy once you get set up.

OK Some options. Does anyone know where the actual Wellcraft factory is now? Looks like it is owned by Genmar Holdings but there web site does not list any plant locations.

California and Minnesota were the last two states that had dealings with Genmar Holdings. I would try contacting the Secretary of States office in both of those states. They would have the last legal addresses for the Co.

Genmar went Bankrupt and was acquired by PBH marine in 2010. Wellcraft along with Ranger, Stratos, Triton, Champion, Four Winns and Glastron belong to them. You might want to contact them.

Many years before the bankruptcy, Wellcraft transferred the molds to all but a few boats to some other company but I don't remember which one. Included were the styles like the OP has and mine.

Current factory is in Cadillac, Michigan.
