There's three or four bolts that hold the main magneto component to the magneto drive. If you can drop the "mag" and remove the points. Then lap the contacts very carefully with 600 grit wet or dry sandpaper then wipe them clean real good. Make sure they contact squarely when done with no irregularities in the contact surfaces. Reassemble and gap at .0008 to .0010 inch

yep, you got too many zeros in there...try .008" to .010"
