Hello all,

First off I purchased this boat last year and had some running issues and talk to some people through here and they suggested a carb rebuild, so after running it a couple of times this year I decided to do the re build. I have not tested the boat in the water yet but ever since I have rebuilt the carb the engine is extremely hard to start and once it gets started there is a lot more exhaust that before, Like the grass behind the motor is black and the exhaust at the prop is now black. Once started the engine runs good but once I shut the motor off for 10 plus min it is hard to start again almost like I'm having to do a cold start again. I'm pretty mechanically Inclined and I'm thinking its like the carb is burning to much fuel.

Thanks for all the help and advice

Don't feel too bad, probably the most often redone repair of any is carburetor rebuilds. Go back in and make sure everything is clean and open. CHeck and double check every passage. Re-check float height. Lots of patience.
