Ran motor all last summer just fine. Stored for the winter, now won't start. Fresh gas, new plugs, but have no fire to plugs. I turn the key switch, and sometimes I get the short warning horn, but most of the time I don't. Was wondering if I may have a problem with the remote unit? It's a 1996 Evindude 50 HP Model E50TLERE.
Thanks for any help. boates45@earthlink.net

Hello Boats,
Make sure that the kill cord is plugged in. If it's not that then get back to us and I'm sure either myself or someone else will lead you through the next steps.
Let us know.

There are several components and specialty checks required to troubleshoot a CDI system. It takes more than a good battery and starter.
Did you visit the above website? :)
