I have a 1996 Johnson 88hp spl (no oil injection). The alarm has started beeping (i.e. it will beep....beep....beep - not a steady tone). It does not do this all the time...but it has picked up in frequency the last couple to times out. The water output is steady and cool. All 4 cylinder heads are cool/warm to the touch. I am suspecting a loose wire because once in a while it won't start...no power to the motor or tilt/trim. I take off the cowling and it fires right up. Put it back on, no fire. So I am now looking for loose or frayed wires but finding nothing. Any ideas?
