96 faststrike harness connections

I bought a used harness online and it just showed up at my door, I was running details through my head to try and figure out what goes where as my old setup is "old". Please correct me if I'm wrong---- <br />triangular plug is for tilt? <br />Small two pin is maybe an alarm? <br />System check tach is obvious---- <br />What is the last 6 pin square plug for?

what are thge wire colors? and it may be the lead to the control box/ign harness

the two pin is purple-- and white with blue stripe.<br /><br />the six pin is 1.black/yellow 2. yellow/red 3.black white 4.purple 5.red 6.purple white<br /><br />It has wire that go the ignition switch, at least thats what I think?

I guess it's for ignition based on the colors, does omc sell an ignition switch with the deutsch connector attached? Also whats the small 2 pin plug for? Thank You

6 pin is for the key switch wiring<br />3 pin for the tilt swtich<br />8 pin for the System Check tach or gauge<br />2 pin for the new style warning horn<br /><br />What you have is a 1996 and later boat harness that goes between a 1996 or later motor and the guages and key switch.<br /><br />If your controls and motor are older than '96, then you have the wrong harness, you need the one with the large red connector plug.<br /><br />What motor and controls do you have?
