Hi all,
Last summer, I had a problem with my motor. It would often bog down when I tried to throttle up. With the help of this forum, I was able to change all of the fuel pumps and do a rebuild on the carbs (new gaskets, cleaned and blown out). Motor ran absolutely perfect most of my next trip. However, on the last run of the day, the same old problem with bogging down came up.
I'm looking at doing the same carb work before the spring, but I'm wondering if I should drain (and replace with new) all of my fuel before I fire it up again after the fix. I've always used seafoam, but there is always some left over fuel at the end of the season that I've let sit all winter the past couple of years.
Since the problem was fixed after I did the work, and then came back up after the motor had run for a while, is it reasonable to think that bad fuel was the culprit? Should I be aware of anything else?
Thanks!
