96 Hyundai Accent Headlight Low Beams are out

[BRG25]

High Beams, Hazard and Tail lamps work fine. Low Beams (both) are out.<br /><br />Checked all fuses in the dash fuse box. Tested OK.<br /><br />Checked for continuity on the Headlamp Relay in the engine compartment. Also swapped with another identical relay to test. Tested OK.<br /><br />What am I missing here? I have a hard time believing both head lamps need to be replaced at the same time. <br /><br />Suggestions?<br /><br />Thanks,<br />Brian

Same thing happened to me so dont count out that both are bad.Sometimes you dont realize that one is out until the other goes out.Charlie

Sage advice CC. It's certainly happened b4.<br /><br />Pop out a bulb, BRG25 and check the continuity of both contacts. You use lowbeams the most, they are the most likely to burn out.

and then just maybe there is a second fuse box somewhere?????? my mazda has seperate fuses for each head light beam,,,,,,,,<br />Just a thought, FWIW

Indeed, I'll bet both are out.<br /><br />Teenager driven? Expect both-out. Teenagers and women will drive forever with one.<br /><br />The wifes car gets a once-a-week-safety check from yours truly.

My Huyndia is bad about loosing the ground. Its an 03 Elantra and does it on the high beams.

Good form BRG25 !! most dont bother to post back the results.Many times it pays to try the simple/obvious approach first even if it seems too obvious.
