First of all, I just stumbled across this forum and have been reading through the pages, and it seems there are some knowledgeable folks here.<br /><br />I just bought an Alumaweld bass boat (18') with an 96 FastStrike 150, the engine runs great with a top speed of 70. This is with a 24 Raker turning just under 5400. Is this the first year for FI and is this a Ficht, or does the early models use another brand of FI. Also, is this Engine considered reliable and are there certain things I should look for. Like I said right know it runs great and has very low hours on it, I just want to take the best possible care of it.<br /><br />Thanks!
