96' Merc 150 won't excellerate

Hi, This is my first post. I have a 96 Merc. 150 offshore, sometimes when we start to leave the harbor the engine acts like it is loaded up. I go to get on the throttle and it starts to die. Then I put it in neutral and rev it a few times and it goes. The rest of the day it is OK. Does anybody have a clue?

Sounds like a Carb issue.....
