Any suggestions on why my '96 Sea Ray Express Cruiser seems to have rough idle and why I can't find a sweet spot for the wake speed (too slow almost stalls) or too fast (creates a wake). Is there a a "SeaRay-ese" translation that a mechanic can understand?

Tune Up? Been there done that...The easiset thing would have been to advance the timing...
Note:
I had an unrelated pre-existing "vapor lock" problem in hot weather where after 5-years Searay finally sent me a TSB that cautioned against using 87 octane gas (usually loaded with 10% of methanol)bad stuff for a carburated engine and compelling reason for EFI.

Well,
It would appear that Something Didn't get done Right............
If it Had, It Wouldn't Idle Rough...........

How about a Compression,+ Leak-down Test..........
