96 V6 150 Evinrude Neddle Valve adjustment???

I just purchased a 1996 Evinrude 150. It has 95-100 psi on all cylinders. It is having problems starting. I removed the carbs ( o boy were they easier than my 79' 85 Johnson the bottom right nut on the bottom carb jeez wizz ) and there is a neddle valve screw behind each carb..from my knowledge of needle valves they are usually all set the same..I noticed they were different..I screwed one all the way in 5 turns..checked the next one and it was 3 turns... all 6 were way different. How many turns out should they be set???
I just got this motor and it is my first V-6..havent got a manual yet, but will soon

These are factory set are are not to be adjusted but since its to late 5 turns is a start. If I remember correctly you will have to adjust these on the water,in gear(untethered as manual says) while someone drives it around as you adjust for best idle quality. The manual states no specfic setting.

agree, one at a time and 1/4 of a turn, then let it settle.

thanks guys....i helped a friend once that had a 99 yamaha 200 and had over tightened his needle valve screws and we had to replace them..his manual said 2 - 2 1/2 turns out i think and then we did make slight adjustments out on the water...i adjusted each needle screw the same....should I adjust all of the screws the exact same?? For instance should i turn all of the screws 1/4 of a turn at the time??? so that they are always at the same setting.

you said one at a time I know..but it just seems to me that I would have to do all of them to be able to tell if it helps/hurts....

The initial low speed specification for the 1996-2001 150 60LV is 4 turns out.
