97 Force trim switch

Okay my motor has a cut out for a trim switch but didn't have one. I purchased one and put it in. I plugged green into green and blue into blue. Now I know the red is a power wire but where does it go under the cowl. Or do I need to run another one from the battery. Thanks in advance!

Thanks. I'll have to check and see where the power terminal strip is located and it shouldn't be a problem. Just got tired of going to the trottle to let the motor up and down

i hear ya, i have to get inside my boat to reach mine - i bought the switch last year and wanted to do mine but I don't have any relays.

The switch should be wired to the existing cable.
​Look on/in the wiring harness and see if its there?
IF??? it's wired to the shifter then it's someplace you can hook into.
