97 kaw 1100, no idle

Just got this ski, runs great at WOT, but will not idle. Previous owner took to shop where they removed the choke and installed a primer. Should I re-install the choke? Also will not idle even after warm up. Makes it hard to get through no wake zones when it dies at idle or low throttle settings.

adjust the idle to 1500 rpm in the water or 2800 on the trailer sounds like someone turned it down too low

just turn up the idle on the carbs
