Hello, new to this sight. This weekend went fishing, anchored up and turned the motor off(1998 120 Force) and smoke began coming from under the cowling. Turned the batteries off removed the hood and the lower CDM was melting down at the plug connection. unplugged the cdm and turned the battery back on and third CDM from the bottom started doing the same thing. quickly unplugged it and I could at least use the battery for my radio, had to come in on the kicker. Any ideas on what would cause this? Have had no issues before this. Almost forgot, I did find a loose connection on what appears to be a ground wire on the upper right corner of the Regulator. Could this cause the problem?
