I have read a few posts about oil injector pump failure. I think mine went out. Alarm is going off and I have oil. I am going to crank it a few times to see if I get smoke -
1. Is this the best way to tell?
2. If broke has anyone gone to mix your own on an EFI?
3. Anyone have contact information on company with a 12 volt pump. I heard about G-Force but don't know how to contact them.

Thanks in advance

Answer to question #1. NO THIS IS NOT THE BEST WAY TO TELL. Go to a dealer and with a few simple electical tests the problem can figured out in about 5 minutes.

If you want to look into it yourself then if you pull up my post from July 23rd 2003 you should get a reasonable understanding of how the system works. Topic "1987 Mercury 175HP Oil Alarm". My explanation is rather long so I'm not going to write it all out again. Otherwise search under my number 14637 for various oil alarm posts.

Don't give up on oil injection! Marine Solutions sells a bolt on Electronic Oil Injection system for your engine. You can have all the advantages of oil injection and maintain the resale value of the engine with a one hour installation. You can get details at 262-524-0804.
