98 200 johnson need help

replaced power pack yesterday took it to the lake and the water temp alarm went off shut the motor off and tried to start back but wouldn't start back what do I need to check?

you need to post a lot more info to get response.

why did you change the PP.

went to the lake and what?

did you run it a while or did it overheat right at the dock?

who shut the motor off, you or the alarm?

Do you have a factory manual, know how to check for spark?
Did you check that it was actually an overheat vs fuel delivery problem?
Did you check kill switch?

I replaced the pp beacause I didn't have fire at one of the coils.I went to the lake it ran fine I was in a bass tournament on my way to weigh in the alarm went off so I shut it off and it wouldn't start back now when I hook it to the hose as soon as you start it the water temp alarm comes on for about 20 seconds then goes off but the red light stays on
