98 5.0 efi (throttle body) not going into service mode

98 mercruuser 5.0 GM efi (throttle body injection) not going into service mode. Ive been trying to track down a idle issue. I jumped the A & B terminals on the service plug with a paper clip. Have my meter on continuity (with beep) on the last 2 terminals
(Where you would insert the led) im sure the jumper and test points are correct but I'm not getting any beeps. Any ideas ?

You need an LED, voltmeter will not react fast enough, not enough current to turn it on

Got it working, used a meter several times and it works flawless
