I have a 1998 120 Force on a Trophy 1903 19' CC. Total weight with fuel, people, equipment, etc. is approx 2900lbs. I would like a recommendation on prop size & pitch for an aluminum prop to replace the current damaged prop. The engine runs WOT at approx 5100 RPM. I am not worried about "hole shot" over top speed, or vice versa, I just need a recommendation on a good all around prop size & pitch.
thanks
ghola6

I wouldn't change a thing. Replace with the same size you have now.
Recommended rpm range is 4750 - 5250, and you are right there.

Agreed. Only consideration would be if it should still be alu or maybe composite with replaceable blades (depending on the risc for damages).

I have a 96 Force 120 and I was wondering what elevation you are at, and what pitch prop is giving you those RPMs?

I have a 19" aluminum prop and it only gets my Procraft 180 up to 43 mph(speedo)and 4500 RPM.

Thanks

I am on the gulf coast of FL., so basically it is sea level. I don't know the pitch or size of the current prop, but it needs to be replaced. One of the blades is banged up pretty bad, so I think I will see a slight improvement in performance with a new prop.Consider yourself lucky if you are getting 43mph out of that engine; the top speed I have achieved with my engine is 31mph (although I am pushing a heavier hull). Not a bad engine, but when it craps out, I'm definitely going to repower with a 150HP.
