I have a 1998 Force 75 that has been in storage for 2 yrs and we recently pulled the boat out to get it ready for the lake, the motor ran perfect when put into storage. Fresh fuel, fully charged batteries, etc, etc. The motor turns over but i have no spark to any of the 3 cylinders. I have checked kill switch circuit, checked continuity in coils, coil wires, etc. I do need to get a repair manual. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

When you say you checked the Kill circuit, exactly how did you check it?

If the Kill circuit is OK, try disconnecting the modular 4 pin plug that connects to each of the CDMs (Coil packs), one at a time and check for spark each time. If spark returns after you disconnect one of the CDMs (coil packs), then that CDM is probably bad and preventing any of the other CDMs from firing.

If no spark after testing the CDMs, check the resistance of the stator windings. Disconnect the White/Green and Green/White stator wires at the bullet connectors at the wiring harness that goes to te CDMs. Check resistance between the White/Green and Green/White wires going to the stator under the flywheel. You should read between 500 - 700 OHMs.

I checked for continuity through the switch, i also checked the black wire w/yellow stripe for continuity. Is there something that i am missing in the kill circuit? I will check the cdm's and the stator in the morning. Thanks for the response

The Kill Switch should be read "open" in order for there to be spark. The way the Kill circuit works is that when you turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position, or pull the lanyard off, the contacts in the Kill Switch (or ignition switch) connect the ignition signal to ground. This grounds out the ignition signal and prevents any spark.

If you read continuity or very low OHMs from the Black/Yellow wire to ground, you will not get any spark. Make sure the ignition key is in the run position when performing this check. As soon as you turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position, you should read continuity to ground on the Black/Yellow wire.
