just seen a boat for sale that wasn't stored improperly and the front cabin was flooded for at least this winter (about 3 or 4 inches) if not the one before since its been in storage for two year, they covered it with blue tarps with the bow down. now the cabin has mold from floor to ceiling, from the humidity and the trees surrounding it, im just wondering what are the odds of just having a cabin clean up job and not completely rotted stingers, the water i drained was completely clear after raising the bow. Oh and the engine compartment had no water in it since it all migrated towards the bow. thanks ahead of time.

I think your chances are slim and none. Best to keep looking.

You should always assume the worst case in shopping for boats, and that would be 2 years of water exposure to the bow section, which is typically the section of the boat that is least resistant to water in terms of the construction. So, you can assume that the structure already has the water it needs to rot out over the next few year, if it is not rotting out already

my opinion. based on your description.

Run away, unless you plan to replace everything that got wet and covered in mold, nasty project IMO.

lol yea that's what i figured, the surveyor walked off the job when he opened the cabin door. I put in a really low offer, since the trailer looked new and the drive and engine were in great shape, by low i mean almost nothing lol.
