Hello I know this is probably a stupid question. But, does it matter what kind of plug wires you put on your motor. I have a 1984 Johnson V-4 90hp and the wires are getting a bit ruff. Everywhere I check for these wires range from $6- $9 a piece or $30 - $40 a set. What I was wondering is as long as I use 7mm wire and get the right ends from my local auto parts store namely NAPA can I make my own and it be OK, or could this actually mess up my electrical system on my motor? <br /> Any help is gratiously appriciated.

We use the ones from Wizard Performance Products. The wires are good thru 12,000 rpm and the ends are stainless. No more $$ than OE wires.
