havin a fuel leak problem that I cannot figure out. Today I took the bottom right cowling off (right driveshaft cover) and noticed fuel around the right side of the engine. Im thinking a fuel line is loose (did find a black tie strap that had come off) or my carb is leaking fuel. My question is....will be it ok to run the outboard with with this cover off. It is just a cover right?? I want to see if I can see the leak while the engine has just run. Any comments are welcome. Thanks in advance.
