Are there Malibu expert out there? I have a couple questions. I got underneath my girlfriend car the other day to change the engine oil and noticed the tranmission oil pan was dented in and there was oil all around the pan and nearby areas. I asked if she had jump over any thing and she has no idea to the best of her knowledge that no such thing had happened. I'm sure you guys heard that before right? ;) I suspected that the damaged pan plus the age of the gasket is the caused of the oil leak so went to check the oil level. I looked and looked, Holy crappo! this thing ain't got any tranmission oil dip stick. Looked in owner manual and it says the tranny oil doesn't have to be check hence there's no dipstick. So how do I go about checking the oil level after the pan, gasket and filter is replace? and where in the heck do I add the oil to the tranny?

this is a case where the dealer can bend ya over the counter ........but you may be able to find a Shop (not quick lube) that does flushes to swap the pan and gasket out and refill it I'm not sure if it has a filter in there have never done one.

Yes chevrolet did away with the trans check in most of their cars (malibu equinox) due to the fact most failures were caused by people not properly checking the trans, over filling them or adding the wrong fluids.

Jimr is right find a small shop and they should be able to do it for you. A normal trans service at a dealership is about 100 - 140 bucks.
