99 jhonson outboard problem.

99 jhonson 90hp. So I installed new houses and bilge pump plus live well pump etc. boat has been running great. I was testing the pumps. Checking, checking lights, etc. started the engine on the garden hose few times no problem. Next day it won’t start. Could the batteries need recharge?

Put a charger on them and see if they take a charge. You may have left something on (like a pump or something).

Beg, borrow or otherwise acquire a voltmeter,
even a povo grade cheapie will show voltage drop while turning the key,

A basic test light is also a good thing to have handy.
