Hi, I am new to this forum. I recently purchased a boat with a 1999 Johnson 150 2 stroke with about 350 hours on it. It has quit on me each time I've used it. It acts like it runs out of gas. Sputters a bit but won't restart. When I take it to the boat wash after I get it out of the water, it starts right up and the mechanic can't get it to do quit when he runs it so he can't fix it. We have drained the fuel and put new nonethanol gas in it and we have changed the filter. Any ideas about what might be wrong with it? I don't know ANYTHING about motors and appreciate any suggestions.
