My friend has a DT225 that he can't get running right.The engine will idle fine all day long but when he tries to accelerate or if he is running at wot the engine will suddenly lose about half of its power and rpms drop off drastically.He checked fuel pressure and it was just what the book called for so he started checking ignition components.Rectifier checked bad so he changed it.He also changed out stator, no help.Does anyone have any ideas of what may be the problem?
