Hi guys,

On saturday i became the proud owner of a 9ft Kite speedboat. I belive the company Kite took over from spitfire. It says kite essex on the sticker, More info would be appreciated!

So onto the post. The steering on the boat is REALLY stiff and i cant seem to get the wheel of to lube it up. Ive got some rather poor quality pics, see if you can make any sense.

Re: 9ft Kite.

Maybe some of our people from the UK will chime in however, not a common boat .......... first I have ever seen.

I would replace the entire steering wheel and pulley system. The old ones tended to get corroded and bind up.

Re: 9ft Kite.

It is probably keyed in and will require a big hammer, a puller...... and many people have resorted to cutting the old wheel off with a sawsall and a grinder.
