9ft toth speed boat

Working on my new to me toth boat. It's about 9ft long great little boat. It has a 20hp Johnson right now. But want to upgrade for next season. What's the largest motor someone has put on these mini speed boats? I was considering a 50hp merc

But, a 50 hp on a 9fter sounds Suicidal, to me,...

I dont think you would even get out of the hole with a big 50 on that, you would probably just turtle under and become a reef.

Now configuring a big waverunner jet engine in there could get you screaming

Are you referring to a "Toth" Tunnel Hull racing boat from the 90's??? Pics would be helpful. 50 hp on a 9 ft'r is "Outer Limits" IMHO!!!!
