start with the basics, check compression, check spark.

we did all basic stuff even cleaned carbs..starts right up & runs forward & backwards good with hose hooked up..on the water it starts right up backwards works fine & forward about 5 mph and kills out?????been working on this boat alot and we thought we had it..stater plate ?? had just but a used one on..maybe i should of got a new one???
