hey fellas after my last post about the 73 135 eating water pumps and decideing it was a bad exhuast gasket changed the water pump and gasket and ran good on ear muffs put it in the lake over heated bad this time figure the valves for the vernatherm melted again so i found another motor a 73 115 v4 guy said it ran for the guy before him and he never used it it was in his garage bought home switched motors and had do some custom electric work cause the control box that came with it my cables and my control box ignition was broke so i took the keyed start and choke frome the other one and made it work ran great on ear muffs but after idleing for a while really revs itself up if i push the lever above the gear and throttle levers back it goes back to an acceptibal idle let go it revs back up after a a couple of times returns to normal put in the lake figureing that it was just sticky and nedded to be worked same problem and to boot whene i shift into gear runs fine if i give it any more gas the motor dies this seemed to be getting better more and more throttle and kept running tyhen my selonide died i think because i put 12 volts to the remote posts and no clicking jumped the starter a couple of times and think that was a bad ideah cause now it does nothing i have the other starter an selinoide from the other motor but whats with the just decide that i wanna rev real high in neutral and falling on its face when i give it gas also it dosent want to shift back in to neutral and whene it does it revs up again help!!! should i just come to terms with no boat and sit on shore with the kids and make faces at those with boats
