When they say "preserved", they mean the electronics are obsolete. They date back to 1989 or even earlier!

Does it come with full tanks?

A few years back there was an obsolete aircraft carrier some 3rd world country was selling on Ebay for around $7million. I thought you were going to link to something like that.

Britain, just had one of their carriers up for sale a few months ago, it was one that I had actually been transported on when I was in service and that one had helped Britain take back the Falklands when they have their war, way back when. As I remember it was a pretty good buy for scrape..

Do you think he'll give me a good trade in on my 1985 Bayliner Capri bowrider?

For some reason I seem to remember the one that was on Ebay was once a Brittish carrier then it was sold to a South American country where it served for several years and was being sold for scrap. I do remember the price was $7 million.

I'm pretty sure this was the carrier that was sold on Ebay. I was thinking it was originaly British and was sold by Argentina and was thinking it was 8 to 10 years ago. According to the wikipeda article this one was decomissioned in 97 and sold for scrap in 99 which fits roughly into the time period I rememberd.

That is not the one that I was thinking of, we had a thread about it in the dockside chat area a few months ago, but I don't seem to be able to find it now, and for the life of me, I can't remember the name right now, its on the tip of my tongue, but I be darned if I can spit it out! I must be getting old!
