A boat is supposed to lean into a corner, like when you ride a bike into a corne

I've got an old '76 Winner 17' with a 115HP johnson that seems to stay parellel to the water when I take a wot turn(the last time I had it out on a lake I thought half way through a turn, this is not right, what if boat can't handle the turn. The motor matches up with the bottom of the boat. Am I just being paranoid, or could I really flip the boat over at 43 mph on a high speed turn? PDS.

HI PDS,
Whilst I am not familiar with your hull, in general a Deep-V bottom will lean into a turn. Cats lean out.
Flatter bottom hulls, due to Newtons Laws of Motion, tend to skid around corners especially at WOT or at certain trim-out angles.
Suggest you throttle back a bit or maybe trim in before the turn. And yes, you can flip during the turn as the hull is nearly at the point of instability.
Has this always been a problem or have you recently noticed it? Load (or lack thereof) can also do strange things to how a boat handles.

Are there anyplanning devices on the hull? I.E: Trim tabs, fixed or adjustable? What type of prop is used? What is the attitude of the boat, bow up or bow down when at high speeds?
