This should be etched in stone someplace.
In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the anti-American sentiment and negativity, we should remember England's Prime Minister,Tony Blair's words during a recent interview. When asked by one of hisParliament members why he believes so much in America, he said:

"A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want
in ... and how many want out."

Obviously a politically correct answer under the curcumstances to which he presently finds himself, nevertheless a true statement. ;)

Do you think that Blair would want in or out?

A Pom is a somewhat derogatory term for a Brit if you are from down under. Origin is in dispute. Two most popular stories are that it is the color of their skin when they get into the Aussie sun, POMegranate. The other is Prisoner Of her Majesty, but that would indicate an early Aussie, so I've never understood that one . . .

I like the second. Has kind of a double entendre feeling, like Prisoners sent to Australia but the real prisoners are still in England. :nooffense:

The way Tony Blair and his cabinet members are droping themselves in it at the moment I think he would rather be anywhere but here. It won't be very long before we have a new PM (imo), I shall not be sorry to see him go, it would be fair to say I am not one of his fans, but the idiot the Labour party has lined up to replace him makes me pray that TB stays in office for a lot longer yet.

Triton, he may be a Pom, but he did play host to an ashes winning cricket team last year.

More than can said for your PM.

:D :p :D

Thanks for the definition, I have never heard that term before! I'm glad I found out it's not a compliment before I called someone it. We are very close to Canada here you know.
