the first question is.( its a 76 mercury 650 thunderbolt, 65 hp, 4 cyl. on a 13 foot cane cutter, has any one heard of that model boat)
1.I very recently had all the seals re-done on my lower unit, had water in it and all that. so i gather from all the other post's that milky or creamy gear oil means water in it. well mine looks yellow. was pressure tested held 17lbs of pressure for 2 hours. any more water leaking seals i should know about.?
(and number 2)
2. when me and someone else get in the boat and give it full throttle it will not go over 5 miles ph.
but when they sit in the middle it slowly planes out and goes 58 mph. same with just me in it.

any help soon will be good.

Re: A few questions.

kinson , Not clear on your seal question. Are you saying all seals were changed in lower unit and you still suspect a leak?As for boat not coming onto plane easily let's start with basics. What is your motors capable rpms at WOT? What pitch prop do you currently run?Is cavitation plate on lower unit roughly level with bottom of boat?Sounds like a high horsepower to boat size setup. What is the posture of rig floating in water .Sorry for all of the questions but need as much info as possible to be of any help. :)

Re: A few questions.

Replace Fill/Drain screw seals. Transfer some weight up front to balance the load. See if that helps! What RPM's are you running? 65 Hp on a 13'er sounds a little big!
