Don't you just love it when people you trusted and thought you could count on turn around and kick ya square in the nads. Had this happen a couple times recently. Needless to say I am very dissapointed.

Has this happened to you?

As my co-worker once said about someone that was giving him a particularly hard time:
"Would you like me to spread my legs so you can kick me in the b___s?"

Hmmm. Lot of folks here are pretty loose about whom they trust and how much.

I've always been right on with who I trust, I guess I misjudged this one.

Ive learned a lot in the past year or so. Funny how one shallow self serving person can influence some otherwise good folk.

I will find it very hard getting close to anyone from now on.

Just thankful I have a loving wife and kids, thats all I really need.

I have a one peticular (so-called) friend of mine who has been like that ever since I have known him.
Now I know what I can and cannot ask of him; because I know what I receive from him. All of us who know him, know he is like this.

I trust no one. Sometimes I'm even a little suspicious of myself.

I try to trust every one until they disappoint me. Maybe I should say I give them the benefit of the doubt at the start.
Cheers
Phillip

One of life's little disappointments. I don't worry about that too much unless it's someone you've known 'forever'. That makes you feel like you've been 'snowed' the whole time. Not good. I'm with Kiwi on this, give everyone the benefit of the doubt at first (within reason of course).

I trust nobody until they prove themselves to me.

An old saying in my world, in God we trust, everyone else gets strip searched......or something like that.

There's really nothing anyone can do to "prove" themselves to me. Been burned too many times...even by people I KNEW I could trust.

Expect the worst from everyone. And then when it doesn't happen you can be pleasantly pleased, and never be disappointed.
Do I trust people? Ofcourse! But Im never surprized when people let me down.

I'm with link on this one. I Think I trust most people until they give me a reason not to. I do keep a watchful eye on everyone I know however so maybe I really don't trust them.

I have just a few close friends but the ones I have I would trust them with my life.

I trust most folks, and my friends totally. Would not live any other way. Have I been burned and disappointed yes but living in the alternative would be miserable. Course, I am a left wing grenade chuncking, liberal.
