Sounds like a fuel blockage, I would change the filters and run a good quality fuel cleaner / conditioner through it, run the boat almost out of fuel and as a rule just carry enough fuel to do the days boating. At the age of your boat the gas tank may be contaminated with all sorts of rubbish, if you can get it out than I'd do that also and flush it out with a few gallons of gas. If the problem persists than its likely your due for a carb service, it’s not hard to do if you’re ok with detailed instructions and have a clean work area and the right tools. If you’re un-sure take it off and have it reco'd by a specialist carb shop. Good luck.
