Love the sound of a Big Block in a boat, in the morning.
Bet that poor ole 270 outdrive never expected anything like that  ;)

Glad it's makin' ya smile. What were your speeds past the camera?

Re: A little thanks for all that helped

The first pass was right. I gave the boat about a half mile to get up to speed. The last 2 runs I only ran a 1/4 mile when I passed Randy. The boat was wound up but wasn't really on top of the water.
It GPS'ed @ 53mph with the Ellison prop on it (22% slip). I then found a 14X23 left aluminum prop on ebay and everything changed. The boat was seriously hooked up and I am sure faster. Then a week later I found this.

Its a 14X24 SS left hand prop. Now this thing will throw some water. If I can get a few minutes this weekend without it raining I'm going to borrow the GPS again and see where I'm at before winter sets in and the parts books come out and the prop goes off to the shop to be made a 25P with some tweaks.:D

Probably shouldn't do this, but.......... since you have all winter ;) :D

I won't even mention raising the height of the transom shield in the transom. That could gain you at least a few more MPH

I've been looking for one of those. But I'm afraid I wont have the wallet when and if I find one.

Are you talking more cup or twisting the blades? Try before you buy.
I tried one that had been twisted from 19 to 21, it was next to useless!
It would blow out as soon as I reached mid point on trim, or with even a gentle turn.

Let’s see if I can answer some questions.
Wire2
I hear what you are saying. I have a wall full of props that have been “tested”. I’m pretty sure what direction I need to go but GPS will tell me for sure this weekend. As for trying before buying, I wish. It’s not like I can go to the local prop shop and ask for a 25P left Volvo 270 prop. They just don’t make many of them. Took all summer to find a 24P that would work.
Got these, another on the bench and another on the boat.

QC,
It’s whole lot better now. I figure it’s a lot closer to what the original balance should have been. The right prop also is a big help. I can almost stand the boat on the stern during take off if I would like. A whole new world and I have just scratched the surface. Once I get some final numbers on this prop this weekend I will send it off to my prop guru and I should be set. Well until I find the right set of heads.

Thanks everyone for your comments.:D
