The reporter recognized the Colt Model 1911 the Ranger was carrying and asked him 'Why do you carry a 45?' The Ranger responded, 'Because they don't make a 46.'

That's a gooden. Some of these newer .50 ACP might be to the rangers liking. Seen one in Guns and Ammo a while back.

Or Sheriff Grady Judd in Polk County, FL, when asked why his deputies fired 126 rounds at a murder suspect, who was shooting at them,
