Sean- I took a class in High School and learned how to do it. Beyond that I just would mainly do research in books and look at pieces until I just kept getting better.<br /><br />BassCat- I think i might sell some next summer when I go up north. There is a little art store up in Manitowish waters that was selling some for $300 and they were half the size and half as complex as the ones I have done. I figure there are enough tourists up and aroun Minoqua during the summer I could sell a few.<br /><br />LT- It's copper foil. The only came work is on the outside edges, but you can see it as it is behind the frames I made for them. I'm looking into came a little bit though as my neighbor has asked me to make some glass doors for his china cabinet.

I think that is pretty darn cool.And for a next project I would suggest a walleye.I dont know squat about stained glass or what type of glass is out there, but if you could find something that is reflective, that would make a great walleye eye.

Thanks guys. Keep the input coming.<br /><br />cpj- I really want to do the walleye thing, I might go to the glass store tomorow and see what they have. I know I can find some for the eye, its the body that will be tricky. I need to find a glod/ champagne colores class thats really dark almost black near the top and light almoost bear colored at the bottom. <br /><br />Althoug MYTJC a bass would look sweet. I may have to look into that

Nice work their pony, but why the loser teams? Next time do some real teams like the Steelers or Penn State! HA! Just funnin' with ya.<br /><br />Nice work. Have a friend that has a glass art business. He is into all kinds of stuff now, but some of his first projects were really nice - did a lot of boxes with announcements in them. One he did for us has our wedding picture on the top and our wedding announcement on the inside with beautiful glass work around the announcement, picture, and the sides of the box - it is a really nice keepsake and treasured gift.
