above floor table mount

I have replaced the floor in my cuddy and I am replacing my table and mount. The old mount was flush but the 21/4" hole required cutting a hole in the floor and the table post sat down in there about 2" deep. I have found a flush mount that screws on top of the floor and you put the table post in and turn half turn to lock it down. Has anyone had any luck with this style. My concern is its stability, and if it will loosen over time and make the table wobbel? All opinions welcome.
