Hope someone can help me with my issue. Boat start up and idles fine. Runs fine at about 5-6 MPH but will bog down and dies if i push the gas throttle. Does that everytime. Has new spark plugs, battery, gas oil mixture is right. I'm thinking fuel pump, or carb problem. Also was told that a bad stator will cause this problem. I'm a newbie on this so any help is appreciated. Thanks

dirty carbs, through soaking removing high and low speed jet, and core plug. then rebuild with kits, 1 for each carb. you need the special tool take can be made for a screw driver

Pull the carbs, clean them and replace the gaskets/seals with a rebuild kit. Do the same with the fuel pump. They are inexpensive items that prob. should be changed anyway that may be simple fixes. Be sure to keep the gaskets in the right place on the check valves in the fuel pump. If you have a small leak in the diapham within the fuel pump, the plugs will be wet from fouling out. At low speeds the pump pressure is okay, but at WOT the pressure is to great for a failing diapham and will soak the plugs and foul out.

you can also try a decarb with seafoam before rebuilding wouldnt hurt....

stator? maybe.... lets try to work on the fuel then will give the ignition a try...
