Hey New Here....
I have a 2002 Larson with a VP 5.0. I have noticed some new trouble. I turned off my motor took out the key and noticed my radio still playing. Went back turned off the battery and back on and radio stops

After turning the battery back in it doesn’t matter which way you turn the key accessory or ignition the dash and accessories always stay lit till you cycle the battery.

Not sure how to tell if it’s a relay or my ignition switch or something else

Does your boat have a rocker panel with several switches on it? Most times boats have a dash panel with multiple rocker switches. These control your boats accessories, like radio, navigation lights, dash lights....

These are usually hard wired to the power source, so the key does not need to be on to work the accessories. If you have switches on your dash, see if they will turn on/off the radio and dash lights. Even with key out, if battery is on, these switches will keep the accessories running if the switch is on. Maybe that is all you need to look for.

Yeah it has the rocker switches but this is new.

With my new key out of the ignition I can raise/lower my trim. I can pull the emergence clip and put it back in and hear the fuel pump turn on turn on and off the radio all with the key out.

When I turn the battery off and on it goes back to normal. Nothing works till I put the key back in the ignition and turn it
