Hi All,

Due to an unforeseen incident that occured Saturday morning, I am writing this post for the purpose of information gathering.

I want to install a high temperature alarm on my rig. I have not found anything , yet, in my manuals. There wasn't one when I started this project, so I can't compare before and after.

Any input on any different available types? Any ideas on how they install, meaning, how ( or where) do they take readings from?

Thanks Fellas

Radio Shack sells 12V alarm buzzers of all kinds, and nay auto parts store sells normally open temperatrue alarms (around 210? they close).
Then wire from switch to buzzer, buzzers other wire to purple wire on ignition switch. Done deal.

Cool, thanks Don

One more question, how does the sensor part of the set up actually install to cooling system. I mean do you remove the temp sender, add a t, then install guage sender and alarm sender. I am missing something, I think.

I have used tee's in the past if there isn't easy access to other plugs.

OK thanks guys, I wasn't sure if it was another sending unit or some kind of strap on bulb, or a probe that bolts onto something. Got it now.
