Addatives

Operators manual for my 90 hp johnson spl states that engine tuner should not be use if decarb is in gas. I have about two ozs.
in approx 16 gals.. What will happen if I do use the engine tuner?
Seems like I just should not use it, but I was thinking of doing it prior to putting boat up for winter. Then iN Feb. I would just change plugs and sail down the lake.

Won't hurt a thing. Are you using OMC tuner or seafoam? BTW- My Daughter lives in your neck of the woods in Lake City....

Rick, I am using OMC. Dealer was going out of business, the stuff was half price.
I do not live in Gunnison, we park motorhome up there and enjoy the heck out of Blue Mesa. We live in Fountain about four hrs from Gunnison. I met Willie Nelson in Lake City many years ago.
He bought all drinks. Not young enough to hunt Slumgullion Pass any more.

Beautiful country! My x-wifes familly lives in Montrose. We used to go out every summer, Black canyon, Gunnison, I do miss it.

2 oz in 16 gallons is NOT a problem..like spitting in the ocean. I'd add a little more TCW too though, and Stabil the gas...can't hurt to have extra oil in for lay-up.
Been in that area on cross-country Harley rides many times....the canyon rides around Gunnison is the best...love the ride from Durango to Silverton. Always camped around Engineer mountain. Nephew bummed at Crested Butte after college for 6 or so years, living/camping with his girlfriend down by the river, tossing frisbees, just having fun before joining the rat race

I always add the carbon guard and Stabil to the gas. Over winter I fog and load up on the Stabil.
