I have a 17 foot tracker aluminum bow rider.I've pulled up the floor and see that the front holds water. I would like to add a bildge pump at the front so I can get all the water out. I'd like to use the existing drain hole at the back of the boat. Can i just plumb in my drain hose with a T conector at the back hose? If I can then could I also splice in that pump to the same switch so both come on at the same time? Thanks

You could probably do all that stuff you mentioned but I would begin by looking for a drain that is plugged. I don't think they would make an area water could get into that would not drain on its own.

No that will not work right, what will happen is you will fill the line back to the back and down to the other pump, with it running it will push most of the water out, but when you switch them off you will get allot of hose back flow refilling the aria. If you get into trouble and need your bilge pump for saving your hide, your set up is the most inefficient there could be, and if one fails you have no working bilge only transfer pumps. You should like the other post mentions for something sounds plugged. You could put a separate hole and fitting in the bow, many anchor lockers have them, and you would have 2 working bilges, better than screwing it up.

I'll look for a plug but these smaller boats are a little lower in the front so tend to gather water there. I'll put a bilge there and just make a new hole out the side some where out of the bow wave. Thanks guys
