Hey all. I have a 1972 evinrude 18 hp. Was wondering if it was possible to add a steering console at the front of my 14' v hull and be able to steer and control throttle on this old of a model? If so what parts would be in the reasobably priced range? Or is it a waste of time and money?

Anything is possible if you want to spend the $$$$$$$$. You may want check out some old boat "bone yards" and see what you can find.

Shift and throttle remote controls are no problem. Plenty of them around. As for the steering, you will have to consider the design of the console and decide from that what kind of steering you want to put in.
