Hi! I have a year 2000 15 horse. There's a lot of room in the starboard side lower cowl beneath the carb. Given that the telltale is simply a rubber hose running from the port side head around the back of the motor and out the lower cowl on the starboard side, seems like it should be possible to:
Insert a y-fitting before the pee-hole, add a new hose to the y, run the new hose a few inches and then drill an appropriate hole through the lower cowl under the carb. Add in a garden hose connector and some other plumbing and it could work, I think.
Has anyone done anything like this? The dopey muff I have that fits over the cavitation plate is a real PITA. Or, is there already a better flushing attachment out there somewhere?
